Our career continuum is not clearly defined because we do not believe in the “time and grade” philosophy. Instead, we believe that the individual professional determines the speed at which he or she advances and the rate of pay earned. We have no categories; we have no levels. We have no pay scale. An individual at Raines & Fischer for 3 years may have more responsibility and be paid more than an individual here for 5 years if that individual shows the competence and capacity to handle greater assignments.
The proof of our philosophy is stated in our commitment to making our partners from within. Since the two founding partners started Raines & Fischer in 1984, two other individuals have joined the Firm as partners from within the organization. We expect that more of our staff will reach that level in the future.
